Spar Scotland opens depot doors to non-Spar retailers in November
Spar Scotland depot open day invites non-Spar retailers

Spar Scotland is inviting independent retailers and convenience store operators who are not currently part of the Spar brand to attend a special depot open day on 4 November. The event is designed to give non-Spar retailers the chance to explore the company's depot operations, learn more about its wholesale offering and meet members of the team to discuss how Spar Scotland could support their businesses.

What the open day offers

Attendees will be able to gain an insight into the products, services and support available to retailers, as well as learn more about the opportunities available through joining the network. Topics will range from exclusive USPs including Iceland products in convenience stores, Barista Bar coffee, CJ's Food to Go offering, Spar Dash home delivery, a platform via Sociolocal delivering hyper local social media pages and more.

The open day is intended to give independent retailers a closer look at how Spar Scotland works with its retail partners, helping them understand the potential benefits of the brand, its supply chain and its wider retail support.

Details and registration

The event will take place on 4 November at the Longtown Distribution Centre, 78 Longtown Road, Dundee, starting at 10.00am. It is aimed at independent retailers and convenience store operators not currently affiliated with Spar.

Brian Straiton, sales director at Spar Scotland, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming independent retailers to our depot in November and giving them the opportunity to see first-hand what Spar Scotland has to offer.”

He added: “We know that independent retailers are operating in a competitive and ever-changing market, and we want to demonstrate how partnering with Spar could help them develop their businesses, access a strong product range and benefit from the support of an established convenience retail brand.”

“The open day is an opportunity to meet our team, ask questions and explore the possibilities in an informal and welcoming environment. Whether retailers are considering their next steps or simply want to find out more, we would encourage them to come along.”
