Ryanair will axe all flights from the UK to Bremen, Germany, from April 2027, cutting around 500,000 seats. The airline currently operates daily flights from London Stansted to Bremen for £15.
Final flights scheduled for March 2027
The Ryanair website appears to show tickets for the final flights to Bremen scheduled for March 27, 2027. After Ryanair stops flying this route, there will be no direct links from the UK to Bremen.
Bremen is known for its gothic appearance, often described as 'fairytale-like'. Travellers wanting to fly to Bremen from the UK will now need to take layovers.
Previous route cuts across Germany
Last year, Ryanair said it would cut 24 routes to and from Germany, reducing 800,000 seats in total. Nine airports are affected, including Berlin, Hamburg, Memmingen, Baden-Württemberg, Cologne, Frankfurt-Hahn, Dortmund, Dresden, and Leipzig.
In April this year, Ryanair said it would reduce its flight schedule to and from Berlin by 50 per cent.
CEO criticises German aviation market
CEO Eddie Wilson said in August that Germany's aviation market is "broken and needs an urgent fix."
"As a result of these high government taxes/fees (the highest in Europe), and Lufthansa's high-fare monopoly, German citizens/visitors now pay the highest air fares in Europe," he said.
