Marks & Spencer is launching a new range of single-serve hot pudding pots, inspired by the microwave desserts that took the UK by storm in the late 80s and 90s. The puddings are warmed in the microwave and ready to eat in less than 60 seconds.
Six pudding options in the new range
The range includes six options, covering crumbles, sponges, and cookie dough. The Apple & Custard Crumble Pot (£2.50) features a Bramley apple filling, topped with Madagascan vanilla custard and an all-butter crumble enriched with oats. The Berry, Apple & Custard flavour (£2.50) has the same components with the addition of summer berries.
Sponge fans can choose between Banana, Caramel & Pecan Pudding and Chocolate, Orange & Hazelnut Pudding, both priced at £3. The banana option is a butter sponge with banana purée and brown sugar, topped with caramel sauce and pecan pieces. The chocolate version is a rich chocolate sponge with real orange pieces, covered in chocolate sauce and sprinkled with hazelnuts.
Cookie dough desserts and availability
Two cookie desserts complete the range: Double Chocolate Cookie Dough and Raspberry & White Chocolate Cookie Dough, each costing £3. Both feature a soft butter cookie dough over a sauce. The double chocolate has a dough enriched with brown sugar and a milk and dark chocolate sauce, while the white chocolate version includes white chocolate pieces and a raspberry compote.
All six puddings are available in the M&S Foodhall from October 14.
