Manchester Christmas Markets Launch First-Ever Merchandise Line
Manchester Christmas Markets Launch First Merchandise Line

The Manchester Christmas Markets have launched their first-ever line of merchandise, featuring festive woolly jumpers, hats and scarves. The limited-edition items, priced from £10 to £45, are available exclusively at The Manchester Shop stall at Albert Square.

Market Locations and New Additions

This year's markets will see wooden chalets set up across ten locations throughout the city, including St Ann's Square, Market Street and New Cathedral Street, from November 5 until December 22. A new addition this year is Lincoln Square, near Albert Square, which will feature a designated food-and-drink experience including Miss Lasagne, Bango Bango and popular Piccadilly Markets stall Rita's Reign.

Across the ten locations, the trader list includes returning favourites and new names, including some of last year's viral trends like Hong Kong French Toast, mini tiramisus, and Korean corn dogs. Also hoping to go viral this year are fondue bread bowls and loaded hash browns.

Festive Attractions and Merchandise

The markets will also return to Albert Square, where the Big Wheel and the giant 'Zippy' Santa, featuring 20,000 LED lights, will be situated. It will also be home to a helter skelter and a new walk-through Christmas cracker.

The first official Manchester Christmas Markets jumper will be priced at £45 and feature the city's own Zippy. Matching a similar style to this year's mugs and created by the council's in-house design studio, there will also be tote bags, scarves and hats. They will all be available exclusively at The Manchester Shop stall at Albert Square.

Pricing and Availability

The limited-edition items, priced from £10 to £45, will be available in a range of sizes, from XS to 4XL, but only whilst stocks last, so people are advised to get them early to avoid disappointment.

Councillor Garry Bridges, Leader of Manchester City Council, said: "Our iconic Christmas mugs are so popular every year with visitors to our Christmas Markets and our giant Santa loved by so many, that we decided to put the two things together and go one step further this year with our exclusive first-ever range of Manchester Christmas Markets festive woollies."

The full line of items will cost £95 if you want to be decked out in head-to-toe Zippy. The items will only be available to buy from The Manchester Shop stall on Albert Square until stock runs out.
