Lidl is giving away 5,000 free cookies to shoppers through its Lidl Plus app, with the offer starting at 10am on Friday, November 6. The promotion follows reports of cookie shortages at a rival retailer and is limited to a first-come, first-served basis.
Shoppers must enter the code OHMYCOOKIE in the Lidl Plus app once the promotion begins. Successful customers will receive a voucher redeemable in Lidl stores nationwide until November 13, while stocks last.
Three Cookie Varieties Included
The giveaway covers three varieties: Triple Chocolate Cookie, White Chocolate Cookie, and Milk Chocolate Cookie. Those who miss out can buy the supermarket's standard bakery cookies, which Lidl says cost 55p.
The offer comes after social media posts showed empty cookie shelves at another supermarket, with some shoppers joking about experiencing withdrawals from the popular treat.
Limited-Time Flavours Ahead
Lidl also has two limited-time cookie flavours planned. A White Chocolate and Gingerbread Cookie arrives on November 19 at 99p, and a Half and Half Double Chocolate and Caramel Cookie is due on December 31, also for 99p.
With 5,000 vouchers available nationwide, customers may miss out if they delay. The giveaway is separate from the paid bakery range, so stores will not have unlimited free cookies. Voucher holders should check the app and redeem before the November 13 deadline.
