The takeaway, with a history of more than 34 years, holds an overall rating of 4.8 out of five based on 391 reviews and has been described by customers as the best chippy in the city.

The takeaway serves separate lunch and evening menus. The lunch menu features battered or breaded fish suppers, chicken breast fillet suppers, pizza crunch suppers, and fish cake suppers. According to the takeaway, all of its batter is made of flour and water only and contains no artificial food dyes.
The evening menu includes grilled Angus steak burgers delivered daily from a local butcher, as well as a large selection of pizzas, including the special 'Salvatore's Pizza' with chicken, pepperoni, onions, garlic, oregano, and chilli oil. Customers can also order baked potatoes with toppings such as cheese and pineapple, cheese and beans, tuna salad, and sweetcorn and coleslaw.
