Clarks Griffin Mabel 2 shoes cut from £70 to £20

Clarks has cut the price of its Griffin Mabel 2 smart shoes from £70 to £20, a 71% discount, with shoppers describing them as comfortable as trainers while keeping a smart look. The shoes are new to the Clarks sale and are expected to sell out quickly.

Design and comfort features

Available in sizes 3 to 6 on the Clarks website, with some half sizes offered, the Griffin Mabel 2 shoes are designed to pair with trousers and dresses for the office. They feature Clarks' Ultimate Comfort foam footbed for all-day support.

A description on the Clarks website says: "Updating the traditional derby silhouette with a durable sawtooth sole and statement fringing, our Griffin Mabel2 shoe positions itself as a new dress-casual staple. The classic lace fastening offers a secure, adjustable fit, while an easy-walk low heel provides wearable height."

It adds: "And comfort stays a top priority, with our Ultimate Comfort foam footbed ensuring instant comfort that never waivers."

Other reduced styles in the sale

Also reduced in the Clarks sale are the Clarks Cloudsteppers Solevana Tie Trainers, now £32 down from £55 in a dusty pink colourway. These trainers feature 'pillow soft footbeds' and are described by Clarks as its 'softest' trainer yet, designed to restore and recharge feet with every step.

The winter-ready Havisham Bay Boots, originally £85, have been reduced by 25% to £63.75 for a limited time. They include Clarks' signature Contour Cushion footbed, statement buckles, a stack-effect heel, and a durable rubber outsole with a 35mm heel height.

Shopper reviews and sizing notes

The Griffin Mabel 2 shoes hold an overall score of 4.8 out of five stars. One shopper wrote: "Lovely shoes bought at a great price. Really pleased and would recommend." Another said: "Very happy with the model, it's like wearing [trainers] because of how comfortable it is."

One less impressed shopper noted they had to size up, writing: "Comfortable shoes, bought as a gift. We changed the size to a larger one because they fit a bit tight. In short, we received the new size and it's perfect." The shoes are only available in a "D (Standard)" width, which may feel restrictive for those with wide feet or high arches.

The shoes can be purchased for £20, with sizes selling fast.
