Burger Boi, the smash burger chain founded in Wolverhampton, is expanding its partnership with Morrisons, with a new concession opening in the supermarket's Wood Green store in North London on Thursday, August 6, 2026. The company has confirmed that four more Morrisons locations are already planned to open before the end of the year.
Rapid growth since 2021
Founded in 2021, Burger Boi has grown rapidly through franchise launches, now operating around 20 locations across the country. Late last year, it opened its first Morrisons concession in Manchester Piccadilly Gardens, marking the start of a partnership between the two brands.
New jobs and community impact
Burger Boi sales director Asa Simpson said the Wood Green launch would create more than 20 new jobs for the local community. In a LinkedIn post, he described the opening as "another exciting milestone in what is becoming a fantastic partnership with Morrisons and one that continues to enable us to bring Burger Boi to more communities across the UK."
"Seeing an opportunity evolve into a scalable retail partnership is something I’m incredibly proud to be part of," he added. "A huge amount of work goes into every opening and it’s a credit to everyone across both teams who helps make it happen."
Menu and future plans
Burger Boi's menu includes smashed burgers, chicken sandwiches, meat-free options, wraps, wings, sides, desserts, and milkshakes. The Manchester branch also offers lower-calorie items like grilled chicken and a breakfast menu, tailored to regular customers and weekly shoppers.
