Aldi's £25 5-in-1 Styler vs Dyson's £379 Airwrap
Aldi's £25 5-in-1 Styler vs Dyson's £379 Airwrap

Aldi is launching a five-in-one hair styling gadget this week that offers a budget-friendly alternative to premium Dyson models. The Ambiano Hot Air Multistyler, priced at £24.99, will hit the Middle Aisle in UK stores on Sunday, August 23, as part of the supermarket's latest Special Buys range.

The new collection focuses on 'Student Bedroom' items, catering to students returning to university or starting their first academic year away from home. The Ambiano tool stands out for its resemblance to the Dyson Airwrap, featuring a sleek, compact design that could be mistaken for the luxury brand at first glance.

Price Comparison and Features

John Lewis and Currys both sell the Dyson Airwrap Multi Styler in 'velvet red' for £379. Choosing Aldi's version could save shoppers hundreds of pounds. The product description promises "a faster, easier way to achieve long-lasting curls with no heat damage. Dry, curl, wave, smooth, volumise and hide flyaways."

Aldi's tool includes advanced features for achieving 'smoother', 'salon-style blowouts' at home. It shares a heated airflow design with the cult favourite, aimed at minimising static electricity and taming flyaways while drying. Multiple heat and speed settings cater to different hair types, and attachments include a concentrator nozzle and a diffuser.

What's Included and Availability

According to Aldi's website, the multistyler "dries, smooths, curls, and adds volume, making every day a good hair day." It comes with a storage bag, a 5-in-1 multistyler, hair dryer, brush, round brush, and curling attachments, plus a three-year warranty. Available in Beige or Purple designs.

As a Specialbuys product, it will only be available while stocks last. Aldi advises shoppers to "head to the middle aisle" to see what's on offer. The Hot Air Multistyler has appeared in stores before; social media users have previously noted that while it smooths and creates loose shapes, curls may drop out faster than those from a genuine Airwrap, and some find the attachments less refined to handle.
