Swansea hotel reassures couples after sale listing sparks wedding fears
Swansea hotel reassures couples over wedding bookings

Norton House Hotel in Mumbles has moved to reassure couples that their wedding bookings remain secure after the venue was put on the market. The hotel is being marketed for sale at £1.9m by property estate agents Dawsons.

The listing has "raised concerns", particularly among those planning to marry at the venue, according to those behind the hotel. In response, they have issued a statement to offer reassurance, saying it is "business as usual" and encouraging anyone with concerns to contact the venue directly.

Statement from the hotel team

A statement, signed by The Norton House Hotel Team, read: "An important message to our brides, grooms and upcoming wedding parties."

"We understand that the news of Norton House Hotel being marketed for sale has raised concerns, particularly among couples with weddings booked with us."

"We want to make it absolutely clear that Norton House Hotel has not been sold."

"The hotel is currently being marketed for sale but no sale has been agreed and there is no confirmed change of ownership. It is very much business as usual."

"We continue to welcome guests, host weddings and events, and provide the care and hospitality our couples and guests have come to expect. All existing wedding bookings will be honoured."

Addressing speculation

The statement adds: "Our team remains fully committed to delivering the special day you have planned with us."

"We are also aware of speculation regarding liquidation. These claims have not been confirmed by Norton House Hotel, and we kindly ask that unverified information is not shared as fact."

"Please contact us directly with any questions or concerns."

"We understand that every wedding is personal, and we'd much rather discuss your individual booking privately than through social media comments."

"Our team is always happy to speak with you and address your concerns."

"Your wedding matters to us. Thank you to all our wonderful couples for your patience, understanding and continued support."
