A UK ticket-holder has won a record £195 million jackpot in the EuroMillions lottery, operator Camelot has confirmed. The winning numbers for Tuesday's draw were 6, 23, 27, 40, 41, with Lucky Star numbers 2 and 12.
The prize is the largest National Lottery win in history, surpassing the £184 million won by Joe and Jess Thwaite from Gloucester in May 2022. Camelot’s senior winners’ adviser, Andy Carter, described it as “an amazing night for one UK ticket-holder” and urged players to check their tickets.
If the winner is a single ticket-holder, they would be wealthier than Sir Tom Jones, who is valued at £180 million according to the 2022 Sunday Times Rich List. The EuroMillions draw is held twice a week across nine European countries.
This is the 15th UK ticket to win a jackpot exceeding £100 million in National Lottery history. Previous big winners include Colin and Chris Weir from North Ayrshire, who won £161.7 million in July 2011, and Adrian and Gillian Bayford from Cambridgeshire, who won £148.7 million in August 2012.
