Anthony Gordon has revealed that Marcus Rashford has been offering him local tips and insight as he prepares for his move to Barcelona. The two England wingers are currently together in camp, with Gordon having recently completed a £70 million transfer from Newcastle to the Catalan club.
Rashford, who spent the past season on loan at Barcelona from Manchester United, is hoping to make the switch permanent. Barcelona hold a £26 million option to sign him but are also trying to balance their books, and the arrival of Gordon could complicate their pursuit of Rashford, especially as they also target Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid.
Despite the potential competition, Rashford has been helping Gordon settle. Gordon told talkSPORT: 'He was just telling me how good the lads are there, the team spirit that they have, which I heard already from the people in Barca. He was also telling me about the city, places to live. He's a lovely guy, very caring.'
Gordon, who scored a brace for Barcelona against Newcastle in the Champions League last season, is determined to succeed. 'It's been a bit of a whirlwind of two weeks, but the best two weeks I've ever had for me and my family,' he said. 'I'm not satisfied at all to just play for Barcelona. I want to win everything.'
