Jordan Allan signs for Stirling Albion summer revamp

Striker Jordan Allan has become the latest addition to Stirling Albion's summer overhaul under new manager Steven Whittaker, as the club prepares for its first pre-season outing this weekend.

Allan's Career and Stats

The 27-year-old forward, who spent the last two seasons at Queen of the South, has signed for the 2026/27 campaign, bolstering the Binos' attack. A former youth product of Airdrie and Wolves, Allan has also had spells at Falkirk and Clyde. Despite an injury-plagued season, he scored twice for Queen of the South in League One last term. Over his senior career, Allan has netted 78 goals in 281 appearances.

Allan is expected to form a striking partnership with Stirling's top scorer from last season, Russell McLean, as Whittaker aims to improve on the club's eighth-place finish in League Two.

Club's Statement

In a statement announcing the signing, the club highlighted Allan's experience at both League One and League Two levels, praising his "pace, movement and willingness to stretch defences."

Pre-Season Schedule

The signing comes as Stirling prepares for its first pre-season test at the Stirlingshire Cup tournament. The semi-finals are scheduled for Saturday at Ochilview, where Albion will play two 60-minute matches: first against hosts Stenhousemuir at 10am, then against League Two rivals Dumbarton at 2pm.

The winners from the day's action will advance to face one of Falkirk, Alloa Athletic, or East Stirlingshire, who are competing at Alloa's Indodrill Stadium over the weekend.
