The Government of Jersey has confirmed that eligible households will receive a one-off Community Costs Bonus (CCB) payment of £516.50 from July 2026. The payment, which was traditionally issued in autumn, has been brought forward for the third consecutive year to help families cope with ongoing cost-of-living pressures.
Payment Date and Eligibility
According to the Government of Jersey, the earlier payment date is intended to support families "as soon as possible." In April 2026, authorities confirmed that the policy would remain in place, with eligible households receiving a £516.50 cash boost, as reported by BBC News.
Eligibility criteria remain unchanged from 2025. To qualify, at least one adult in the household must have lived in Jersey for a minimum of five years. The household must have a combined tax liability of less than £2,735 in 2025. Additionally, no member of the household may have an open Income Support Claim within the seven days prior to application.
Automatic Payments and New Applications
An estimated £2.466 million has been allocated from existing budgets to fund the scheme. Claimants who have already been verified as meeting the eligibility requirements will receive the payment automatically, with no need to reapply. New applicants can begin applying from July 14, 2026, as confirmed by the outlet.
Residents are advised not to submit applications until they have received their latest tax liability notification, as this information is required to confirm eligibility.
Additional Support
Jersey also offers a Winter Fuel Payment equivalent for older residents to assist with heating costs. Further details are available on the Government of Jersey website.
