Wider insolvency trend

Earlier this month, UK travel company Global Travel Partners entered liquidation after 15 years. The travel company specialised in corporate travel services, including flight and hotel bookings, travel policy management, and expense reporting for clients across the UK and overseas, and served more than 100,000 customers.

Government data shows that of these insolvencies in August 2026, 314 were compulsory liquidations, 1,431 creditors' voluntary liquidations (CVLs), 182 administrations and 19 company voluntary arrangements (CVAs).
