Tesco expands Clubcard points to over 500 new partners

Tesco has announced a major expansion to its Clubcard partners, adding more than 500 new places where members can earn points. Previously, Clubcard holders could only collect points at 13 spots outside of Tesco.

Shoppers can now earn points when buying Nike trainers, ordering a gift from Etsy, or shopping at ASOS or Oliver Bonas. Music lovers can collect points when booking gig tickets via Ticketmaster, and points are also available on National Express tickets.

New partners and bonus points

Other new partners include Boden, Lookfantastic, Dyson, Halfords, Adidas, BT Broadband, H&M, Virgin Media, New Balance, Lego, Puma, and Glasses Direct. The amount of points available varies by partner, with some offering more than the usual one point per pound spent.

For instance, Nike is currently offering up to four Clubcard points for every £1 spent, meaning you would get 400 points if you spent £100. This would turn into a £4 Clubcard voucher.

Online only for now

There is currently no option to collect points with the new partners when shopping in physical stores, only online. To do so, you will need to be logged in to the Tesco website or shopping via the Clubcard app, and these will redirect you to partner sites.

Shama Wilson, Tesco’s group loyalty and membership director, said: ‘We’re really excited to be giving Clubcard members even more ways to collect points on more brands they already know and love.

‘Today marks the biggest expansion of the partner brands where customers can collect Clubcard points, with more than 500 brands now available across fashion, beauty, home, travel and more.

‘As we head into Black Friday and Christmas, customers can collect points on spending they’re planning to do and turn those points into rewards that matter most to them.’

How Clubcard works

Those signed up to Tesco’s Clubcard scheme earn one point for every £1 they spend at Tesco. They also have access to Clubcard prices and member-only deals.

Tesco previously worked with 13 points partners where shoppers could spend their points, including Disney+, Alton Towers, Bella Italia, Cineworld, Hotels.com, Prezzo, Las Iguanas, and Zizzi. With these places, members could double or even triple the value of their points to spend on food, tickets, and more.

Now members will be able to earn points as they shop in other places and have the opportunity to multiply their points. The way the points are earned is not changing, but the amount that can now be earned should go up when shopping.
