Morrisons shoppers are being reminded to check their cupboards as a recall date for a popular snack approaches. The supermarket pulled Morrisons Savers Salted Cashews 125g from sale earlier this year because of a possible glass contamination risk.
Recall Details and Affected Batches
Customers are urged not to eat affected batches, which may be "unsafe to eat," and to return them to any Morrisons store for a full refund. No receipt is needed. The recall, issued on May 27, affects batches with best before dates of August 9, September 6, September 26, September 28, and October 9.
In the recall notice, Morrisons stated: "If you have purchased this product, please do not use it and return it to us for a full refund. We don’t need a receipt. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and assure customers of our continuing commitment to the highest standard of product quality and safety. Thank you for shopping with us and if you need any more information please contact Morrisons Online Service Department on 0345 322 0000."
Similar Incident at Poundland
In November 2025, a similar case saw batches of Poundland nuts pulled from shelves over fears the product possibly contained glass.
