Home Bargains recalls Lay's crisps over undeclared allergens

ASR Solutions Ltd is recalling Lay's Sour Cream & Dill Crisps sold in Home Bargains because they contain milk and wheat, which are not declared on the label. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has announced the recall, warning that the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, wheat or gluten, or with coeliac disease.

Affected batch and best before dates

The recall affects Lay's Sour Cream & Dill Crisps in 125g packs with best before dates up to and including October 31, 2026. The product has been sold in Home Bargains stores.

FSA advice and refunds

The FSA said: "If you have bought this product, do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from which you bought the product for a full refund." Customers can also contact support@home.bargains for further information.

Previous allergen recall

The recall follows a similar withdrawal last month, when Doritos Tortilla Chips Chilli Heatwave were removed from sale after undeclared milk was found. Those crisps, stocked by several major retailers including Tesco, were recalled due to the health risk for people with a milk allergy.
