A post on Antico's Facebook and Instagram pages last month confirmed the temporary closure, stating: 'Due to technical issues relating to planned upgrades that are beyond our control, Antico Birtley at The Board Inn is temporarily closed.' The statement also expressed apologies for any inconvenience and thanked customers for their support, adding: 'We hope to reopen as soon as possible and will keep you informed with any updates as soon as we know more.'
Since the June 11 announcement, no further updates have been shared on Antico's social media channels. Customers have taken to the comments to inquire about the reopening, but have yet to receive a response.
