RPA1 Limited, a social housing company that acquires newly built affordable homes from developers and leases them to registered providers, has entered administration after failing to meet its financial liabilities. The company, which has been operating since 2014, appointed joint administrators Jim Tucker and Steve Absolom of Interpath to oversee the process.
Financial Challenges Lead to Administration
According to a statement from the company, RPA1 Limited faced financial challenges that made it unable to meet its liabilities. The firm's registered address is on North Fourth Street in Milton Keynes, where it has been based since July 2023, having previously been registered in Devon. Business information provider Endole confirmed the address details.
RPA1 Limited is a subsidiary of Rentplus-UK Limited, which is also registered at the same Milton Keynes address. Rentplus-UK describes itself as a company that "aspires to be the UK's leading housing provider." A spokesperson for Rentplus-UK Limited confirmed that the parent company is not affected by the administration of its subsidiary.
Administrators Reassure Tenants
Joint administrators Jim Tucker and Steve Absolom said their priority is to minimise disruption for tenants and housing providers. In a statement, Jim Tucker said: "We would like to reassure tenants and the underlying occupants of properties connected to RPA1 that it is business as usual. Occupants do not need to take any new action as a result of our appointment, and all existing arrangements remain in place. We are committed to ensuring continuity and minimising disruption throughout the process."
Operations to Continue Normally
The administrators will continue working with all relevant parties while the administration is ongoing, with the aim of maintaining normal operations for those living in properties connected to the company. Tenants currently occupying homes linked to RPA1 Limited should not expect any immediate changes, as existing agreements and day-to-day arrangements remain unaffected while the company's financial position is assessed.
