Enzo Maresca has confirmed Manchester City will make more signings this summer, with the head coach revealing ongoing talks over potential targets. "We are talking with Hugo and the club about some players, for sure we are going to do something, we are looking at different positions," he said during the pre-season tour.
City have already completed a series of deals, including the record arrival of Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest for £116m. Anderson, who was at the World Cup with England until the final weekend, is expected to be a transformative signing despite the hefty price tag. The club have also brought in Mathys Detourbet, Pierce Charles, Jeremy Monga, and Geronimo Rulli, while several players have departed on permanent or loan deals.

Jeremy Monga, a £12.5m capture from Leicester City, is rated 7/10 after beating Arsenal to his signature. Geronimo Rulli, who returned to City for £1.7m from Marseille, is also rated 6/10.

Several younger players have also left, including Jahmai Simpson-Pusey and Reigan Heskey to FC Koln, Tom Galvez to Go Ahead Eagles, and Finley Burns to Wigan Athletic, all rated 6/10.

With Maresca confirming more activity is expected at the Etihad, the first competitive XI of his era remains difficult to predict.
