Liverpool lads' business turning over millions after chance start
Liverpool lads' business turning over millions after chance start

Two Liverpool entrepreneurs say their business is turning over millions after starting the company "by chance." Sean Weaver, from Liverpool city centre, was "doomscrolling" when he discovered Bootle native Adam Kelly broadcasting on TikTok Live.

At the time, Adam, then a teenager, had caught Sean's attention with his ability to entertain viewers and engage with an audience. The pair began talking and quickly realised there was an opportunity to help TikTok Live creators develop their careers through a more structured management approach.

From chance discovery to award-winning agency

That idea has since grown into a Ropewalks-based business called Impact Agency, which has been operating for more than two years and now works with more than 800 creators. The company has an official partnership with TikTok and initially focused primarily on gaming before expanding into a much wider range of talent.

Its roster now includes recognisable names across the UK as well as Liverpool DJs and performers. Sean, 37, told the ECHO: "We've got creators from all shapes and sizes. We started off primarily in gaming, but we've branched out and now have household names like Britain's Got Talent's George Sampson and Millwall player George Beaumont on our books.

"We're not necessarily just managing them in terms of getting brand deals and collaborations. We actually coach them on being content creators, how to create better live content, engage with their audience more effectively and ultimately monetise it more.

"Even creators who have massive backgrounds in short form video content can find the transition to live quite different. There are lots of transferable skills, but there are also many nuances in the approach.

"I wouldn't have expected to be where we are today or to have won so many awards in such a short time. It's been a really positive experience overall."

Revenue and global expansion

The company has already won several awards since its launch. The business finished second in its category in both the UK and Europe for LIVE Fest, TikTok's biggest campaign of the year in 2025, and Adam, who streams under the name Kelldogga, was crowned Creator of the Year 2025.

The success has led to an invitation to a global conference in Thailand next month. The conference will give the pair an opportunity to meet organisations from around the world working in the same industry.

While TikTok Live is growing rapidly in the UK and Europe, Sean said the market is still relatively young compared with parts of Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

The business has a presence in Liverpool's Ropewalks area but also spends significant time between the city and TikTok's London headquarters. The pair are now preparing to establish an international office as they look to expand into new territories.

Adam and Sean claim the scale of the business is already significant, with its creators expected to generate more than $10 million in TikTok Live revenue by the end of this month. This equates to £7.3m. Adam and Sean said they themselves are making over a million from the business.

Sean said: "There's always room to grow. There are millions of TikTok users in the UK, but only a relatively small proportion are fully aware of and engaging with TikTok Live, so there's still loads of space to grow. We're expanding globally into other markets over the coming months and rolling out our blueprint for success."
