Bents Garden & Home, known for its lavish Christmas displays, is launching Festive Twilight Tuesdays throughout November to give shoppers more time to browse without the usual festive crowds.
Four magical evenings of festive shopping
The Warrington garden centre, which often sees queues during the festive season, especially at weekends, will host the twilight evenings on November 3, 10, 17 and 24, running from 5pm to 9pm. Each evening will feature mulled wine, mince pies, live entertainment in the Winter Food Market and a different festive workshop to book.
Mulled wine and mince pies will be served between 5pm and 7pm for a donation to the garden centre's charity of the year.
Christmas officially opens at Bents
Christmas officially arrived at the venue last week when the Mayor of Warrington, Councillor Sagheer Zaman, joined Matthew Bent and crowds of customers to open Christmas 2026, unveiling the spectacular displays and festive experiences created by Bents' in-house team.
The opening marked the start of a Christmas season that promises to be memorable, as Bents prepares to celebrate its 90th anniversary in 2027.
Matthew Bent said: "This Christmas is particularly special for us as we look ahead to our 90th anniversary next year. We’re incredibly proud of our family history and of how Bents has evolved over the years, but what makes me most proud is the team we have today and the creativity, passion and care they put into Christmas."
He added: "There’s something very special about the moment we officially unveil our displays. So much work goes on behind the scenes to create the experience and after months of planning and preparation, it’s great to finally see customers enjoying it."
Aladdin-inspired light trail and Winter Food Market
Following this year's Christmas opening, Bents' second winter light trail, The Magic Lamp in the Hidden Garden, launches on Friday, November 20. Visitors will journey through the Hidden Garden, where dazzling lights, theatrical scenes, magical projections and colourful characters promise to bring an Aladdin-inspired story to life.
Back inside the centre, the popular Winter Food Market is now open, offering festive favourites including sizzling sausages, Yorkshire Pudding Wraps, loaded fries, sweet crepes and crumble. The dining globes are also returning for a second year, hireable for £20 for six people.
A packed programme of events is planned throughout November and December, including Father Christmas' Arrival Parade on Wednesday, November 4, festive workshops and family events. Tickets for The Magic Lamp in the Hidden Garden Light Trail cost £12.95 and can be booked on the website.
