Celtic are reportedly weighing up two more big-money arrivals with Mika Baur the latest high-profile new face to put pen to paper.
With the Champions League playoff showdown with LASK just around the corner, the Hoops' hierarchy have loosened the purse strings and backed Martin O'Neill.
Record spending spree
Celtic smashed their transfer record this summer on £11m signing Kasper Hogh from Bodo/Glimt after signing Camilo Duran from Qarabag for £6million.
On Wednesday they announced a deal for Egypt World Cup star Haissem Hassan - a deal that could eventually rise to £10m - and look increasingly likely to loan in Chelsea left-back Landon Emenalo after his Lennoxtown visit.
Baur has now finalised a £6.8million move to Glasgow's East End - and the spending doesn't appear to be done there as Celtic consider their options to replace Arne Engels, who is on West Ham's radar.
Mahmic and Walemark targeted
Slovan Liberec star Ermin Mahmic is reportedly on the agenda after impressing at the World Cup with Bosnia - netting twice in their run to the round of 32.
In Fotbal that Celtic are "finding out all the information about the player and Slovan's requirements". It is noted that a fee in the region of £7million would tempt Liberec to sell, with Beskitas also keen on a deal for the 21-year-old attacking midfielder.
Schalke 04 and Union Berlin are also interested in a deal, but are eyeing a sell-on clause to reduce the initial payout. The Czech side are said to be "willing to wait" for the right deal, but expect Mahmic to leave the club this summer.
Lech Poznan winger Patrik Walemark is also said to be on the agenda with the Scottish champions eyeing more reinforcements on the flanks.
Polska Sportowy reports that Walemark is being chased by Scottish champions and Dutch club Groningen.
The 24-year-old, who has won two league titles and a Polish Super Cup during his time with Poznan, is said to be valued at £6million.
Chaiwa's agent breaks cover
Hibs star Miguel Chaiwa also appears to still be on the Celtic radar as they weigh up midfield reinforcements.
Easter Road chiefs turfed out January interest in Zambia international and value the player at £4million this summer.
But his agent Boudjemai Youcef reckons a lowball offer could see him make a switch to Parkhead - and says his client wants a deal.
He told Celts Are Here: “£3 million, he can go to Celtic. Celtic is a big club and you don’t turn that down. The player wants to go there.”
It remains to be seen if the Scottish champions escalate their interest in the 22-year-old again, with Torino's Gvidas Gineitis and Hajduk Split's versatile star Niko Sigur also being pursued amid a midfield overhaul.
Paulo Bernardo has already left the club, with Reo Hatate a likely candidate to follow Engles out of the Celtic Park door.
