Microsoft users encountered widespread issues with several of the company's services on Friday, July 10, 2026, according to reports on the outage-tracking website DownDetector. Problems with Microsoft Outlook, the email platform, began shortly after 7am and escalated through the morning.
Outlook and Copilot Hit by Outages
At the peak of the disruption, just before 9am, nearly 100 users reported problems with Outlook. Of those, 25% struggled to log in, and 43% experienced difficulties sending messages. Meanwhile, Copilot, Microsoft's AI chatbot, also faced issues, with 30 users reporting problems—63% of them citing website functionality as the main concern.
Microsoft 365 Also Affected
A smaller number of users reported issues with Microsoft 365, according to DownDetector. However, other Microsoft services such as the Microsoft Store and Azure appeared to operate normally without widespread outages.
At the time of writing, Microsoft had not issued an official statement regarding the reported outages. Metro has contacted Microsoft for further comment.
