Former Arsenal defender Lee Dixon has proposed an ambitious swap deal between Arsenal and Manchester United, with Marcus Rashford at the centre of the transfer. Speaking to BestBettingSites, Dixon said he would trade Gunners youngster Myles Lewis-Skelly for Rashford, citing Mikel Arteta's potential impact on the United forward's career.

"Would I swap them (Myles Lewis Skelly and Marcus Rashford)? You know what, I probably would. And that's nothing against Myles Lewis-Skelly; it's about giving him the freedom to go and expand his game elsewhere," Dixon said.
"With Marcus Rashford, he's a player who needs an arm around his shoulder, and Arteta would be great for him. Give him that love, give him the freedom to play on that left side, and yeah, I'd like to see him in an Arsenal shirt."
Rashford's uncertain future at United
Rashford, 28, faces an uncertain future at United after spending last season on loan at Barcelona. The Catalan giants opted against making the loan permanent, and he has been handed a new squad number at Old Trafford. United's attack has undergone a transformation since Rashford was sidelined by Ruben Amorim, with Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko all joining the ranks, while Amad Diallo continues to flourish.
Dixon added: "I have my reservations about whether he's consistently a top-class player, but based on what Arsenal have in the squad now, he'd be a good addition."
Lewis-Skelly's value to United
At Arsenal, Lewis-Skelly bounced back from a lacklustre initial few months and started in the Champions League final. He only began five league matches and was more frequently deployed in the Champions League by Arteta. His adaptability makes him a valuable asset, and United have been seeking to strengthen their midfield and left-back positions - two roles that Lewis-Skelly can fulfil.
