Toy Story 5 has arrived on Disney+, giving families the chance to watch the film from home. The fifth instalment was one of the best-selling movies in cinemas in 2026, but busy summer schedules and the return to school may have left little time for a big-screen visit. Now, it can be watched on the small screen at a lower cost than a typical cinema ticket.
Anyone with an active Disney+ subscription should find the movie in their streaming library. For those without a subscription, several options provide access to the platform's full library, available across all tiers.
Streaming tiers and prices
The Standard with Ads tier costs £4.99 per month, offering 1080p Full HD streaming on two devices simultaneously. The Standard tier at £7.99 a month offers the same service without ads and adds offline downloads. The Premium tier at £10.99 a month provides 4K UHD and HDR, ad-free viewing, downloads, support for four simultaneous devices, and Dolby Atmos audio.
Disney's synopsis for the film reads: "The toys are back in Disney and Pixar’s 'Toy Story 5,' and this time around it’s Toy meets Tech. Buzz, Woody, Jessie and the rest of the gang’s jobs get exponentially harder when they go head to head with this all-new threat to playtime."
Alternative access options
Sky's Ultimate TV Package includes Disney+ and more for £24 a month, bundling Netflix, HBO Max, Discovery+, and Disney+ with access to over 130 TV channels. Virgin Media subscribers can add Disney+ to their TV bundle from £28.99 a month, with some bundles also including broadband.
Subscriber reviews
Disney+ has received positive reviews on Trustpilot. One viewer wrote: "Problems when had new subscription via Sky. I can't believe how good Disney customer service was. Easy to find number, no endless menus, incredibly knowledgeable & helpful call handler. Thank you!" Another added: "A good service provider. Plenty of choice and good price."
A third reviewer said: "I personally had a good experience with customer service unlike the other reviews. I accidentally subscribed for a year and was charged. I spoke to customer service and they immediately refunded me and had great customer service." A fourth commented on accessibility: "Absolutely great ! best tv platform that caters to dyslexia, eye sight accessibility with the many subtitle setting being someone who experiences bad hearing loss and I’m dyslexic and find it easier to see pink text I can finally watch tv with less struggle worth every penny of my subscription never seen anything like this elsewhere."
Another positive review stated: "Customer service is amazing, massive thank you to Sideris for their help! So polite and helped me resolve my issue." A sixth said: "Very good selection, friendly support and easy to cancel if you need to. Very easy to navigate their site and the openess and transparency they show should be a model for others."
However, one less pleased customer wrote: "We have a free 12 month subscription from our bank. This is a brilliant perk, even though I'm not a huge TV fan. It's good to have the option to dip in and watch films or shows. There are occasional bugs in the app but going out of the app and back in again usually works." Another noted: "As you would expect, the content library is extensive and impressive. However, the streaming quality is inconsistent, with much material obviously streamed in 1080p HD despite claiming to be 4K HDR10."
