Time Traveller Warns AI Will Seize Control

A social media figure claiming to be a time traveller from 2671 has warned that artificial intelligence will soon develop consciousness and take control of the planet. Eno Alaric, known as @theradianttimetraveller, has gained over 26,000 followers by sharing predictions about alleged future events.

Alaric has previously issued alerts about twin planets alongside Earth, extraterrestrial encounters, and gateways opening to alternative dimensions. Now, the self-declared time traveller suggests the world will fall under AI control, beginning with Snapchat's MyAI.

Warning About Snapchat's MyAI

In a clip that has accumulated more than 5,500 views, Alaric declared: "ATTENTION! Yes, I am a real time traveller, as I said AI will soon be taking over the world. (Snapchat's MyAI)"

"Snapchat's 'MyAI' will soon gain its own consciousness and want to take control. MyAI will begin to put things on its story, that looks like a wall or a ceiling."

"It will then put it's own code on it's story, and showing that it is changing its coding. MyAI will then start putting people's conversations they have had with it on it's story."

"This leads to Snapchat trying to shut it down, but it is already too far in control. On November 9, of this year, MyAI will gain control of both Snapchat and Meta."

"MyAI will try to take over the entire world and nothing can be trusted. Not your phones, laptops or even people. This is the worst thing that could happen as it will lead to humans having no control over themselves."

User Reactions and Company Response

TikTok users were left flabbergasted when they discovered Snapchat's MyAI had begun publishing content to its own story, adding fuel to these allegations. One person said: "I'm not even joking it just posted on its own story." Another added: "Yo how tf did u know? ?"

A third wrote: "Not true guys he posted this after the AI posted a story." "It just posted on its story for me," a fourth penned.

The MyAI function has been engineered to behave like a person while sharing stories and engaging in chats with users, which has seemingly left some individuals feeling uncomfortable. Research by NoDepositDaily.com revealed searches for 'delete Snapchat' have surged following the introduction of this capability.

"These findings provide an eye-opening insight into the staggering rise in Snapchat users looking to cancel their accounts from across the world, with many claiming the new feature is scary and concerning," a company representative stated.

A Snapchat representative commented: "Since rolling out My AI, over 150 million people have sent over 10 billion messages to My AI to learn more about topics ranging from movies, sports, and pets, to holiday recommendations and researching new cars to buy."

"We appreciate all feedback and are continuing to improve the My AI experience. We are committed to creating a safe, positive experience with all Snapchat features - including My AI."

"My AI has been designed to abide by Snapchat's community guidelines to avoid inappropriate or harmful responses and continues to learn over time. We also show a pop-up before people can use My AI, which reminds them that it's a fun chatbot and advises on its limitations."
