Panasonic has expanded its audio lineup with the launch of two new Hi-Fi systems, bringing back the classic component look with a modern twist. The new models, the SC-PM302 and the SC-PMX112, are designed to appeal to both nostalgic listeners and those seeking connected home audio.
Retro design meets modern connectivity
The SC-PM302 is described as a blast from the past, resembling systems many had in bedrooms during the 1990s. It features dual full-range speakers housed in wooden enclosures, along with a CD tray for playing older discs. The system also includes a 2.8-inch colour TFT display for clear overview of music sources, stations and settings.
Despite its retro appearance, the SC-PM302 offers modern functionality. It can tune into DAB+ digital radio stations, supports USB playback from other devices, and features Bluetooth technology for streaming from phones, laptops and tablets.
Pricing and availability
The SC-PM302 will be available from October at a guide price of £119.99. For those seeking more advanced features, Panasonic also introduced the SC-PMX112, which adds Wi-Fi for instant playback from services such as Spotify Connect.
The SC-PMX112 includes a 2-way speaker system with 13 cm full-range drivers, dedicated tweeters and bass reflex ports for richer sound. It also comes with detachable speaker grilles and cables for flexible setup. This model is scheduled for release in October 2026 and is priced at £269.99.
Company statement
Panasonic confirmed the launch, stating: "Panasonic announces two new Hi-Fi systems offering a choice of connected home audio and compact everyday listening."
The company added: "The SC-PMX112 leads the new lineup with Internet radio, Spotify Connect and a broad range of digital and physical music sources. The compact SC-PM302 provides a more accessible option, combining 60W RMS stereo sound with CD and USB playback, Bluetooth, DAB+ and FM radio in a space-saving design."
