NASA Briefing on Moon's 'Alien Star Base' Found in Declassified UFO Files
NASA Briefing on Moon's 'Alien Star Base' in UFO Files

The latest batch of declassified UFO files includes audio from a previously classified NASA briefing in which a speaker suggested a moon crater hole 'could be an alien star base.' The recordings come from the most recent release of UFO documents by the US Government.

NASA Briefings Reveal Moon 'Alien Star Base' Reference

Audio from a formerly classified NASA discussion following the Apollo 16 mission in the 1970s was made public as part of Friday's third release of UFO files. The Apollo 16 mission orbited the Moon from April 16 to April 27, 1972.

Astronauts John Young and Charles Duke became the first people to investigate the Moon's highland territory while Thomas 'Ken' Mattingly stayed in orbit around the celestial body. During the 55-minute recording, teams spoke about gravity, laser readings and irregularities discovered throughout the exploration.

Yet embedded within the audio lies a conversation regarding a 'great big hole' near the Van de Graaff crater, a location renowned for peculiar characteristics. One voice stated: 'In the backside of the moon around Fendi graph, that's where we get our big hole.'

Moments afterwards, an extraordinary proposition emerged. The speaker went on: 'It could be an alien star base or something. Anyway, the next slide shows the front side of the moon.' The remark was delivered remarkably matter-of-factly and came after some chuckling had followed a reference to the 'big hole,' suggesting that the eye-raising comment was almost certainly a joke.

UFO Enthusiasts Pore Over Released Files

Friday's document release contained approximately 72 files gathered from the FBI, CIA and Pentagon featuring footage, witness accounts and artistic representations of described phenomena. Some documents stretch back to the 1940s and encompass nations beyond the US.

President Donald Trump unveiled the initial two collections on 8 May and 22 May, respectively. Earlier records reference peculiar encounters with spherical objects across certain regions of the US. One censored document mentioned two individuals who witnessed a brilliant light in their rear garden one evening.

The account of one witness 'described the red colour as being brilliant and beautiful, and that [redacted] had never seen anything that colour of red before.' It noted the crimson orb measured approximately 3ft across and housed a 'white plasma sun' roughly the size of a basketball at its core.

The duo subsequently reported observing multiple white spheres several weeks afterwards that soared above their property at greater height. Another alleged UFO encounter was also purported to have been documented at Zimbabwe's Harare International Airport in July 2008.
