A mother from Ohio has shared her terrifying ordeal after a mouse invaded her baby's bedroom, with the entire incident captured on her smart baby monitor. The 29-year-old mum was left rooted to the spot after spotting the rodent, which prompted a panicked response.
Footage from the Nanit Pro monitor shows the woman standing on a bed next to her child's cot, screaming and frantically calling someone named Michael. She can be heard shouting: 'I'm on the bed, I can't get down, what do I do?' Despite calling for her pet dog, the animal did not come to her aid.
In the clip, the mum becomes increasingly hysterical, jumping up and down on the bed before realising with horror that the mouse had come from the wardrobe. She tells Michael: 'Oh my God, oh my God, it came out of our closet.' She later admitted she felt she was 'going to pass out' from the shock.
The video, posted on TikTok with the caption 'There is a mouse in my house', has garnered a slew of amused comments, with one user writing: 'I cannot stop laughing. Girl!!!!' Another quipped: 'I don't know if I should laugh or tell you time for a cat or say you poor thing lol.'
Mice often seek shelter in homes during colder weather, entering through small gaps in walls, pipes, or foundations. The video has been labelled as AI-generated, though it is unclear which elements may have been altered.
