Logitech has announced G Hub Replay, a new gameplay recording tool designed to make sharing highlight clips from PC gaming sessions faster and easier. The announcement was made at the company's G Play event in Warsaw, alongside updates to its Pro line and streamer gear.
How G Hub Replay Works
The software runs in the background, capturing entire gameplay sessions, and uses a machine learning algorithm to automatically identify clip-worthy moments. A demo shown by the Logitech team highlighted an editable timeline, audio mixing, and basic customisation features such as adding subtitles and graphics.
Clips can be saved as local video files or shared directly to YouTube or Discord from within the app. Logitech states the software should have minimal performance impact, though these claims have not yet been independently tested. The machine learning runs directly on users' machines and does not rely on cloud-based LLM handshakes.
Supported Games and Availability
At launch, over 50 games will feature the automatic highlighting capability, including multiplayer favourites such as Overwatch, Counter-Strike 2, and the upcoming Modern Warfare 4. While Replay can record any game application, not every title will have the automatic highlight scanning feature, with support for more titles promised at a later date.
Replay currently sits as a separate app alongside G Hub, with no current plans to integrate it. It is available to download now from the Logitech G website.
