Kmart's Robotic Window Cleaner Fails to Impress Experts

Consumer experts from CHOICE have evaluated dozens of Anko products from Kmart, identifying both winners and duds. Among the disappointments, the robotic window cleaner failed to meet expectations, with experts advising shoppers to steer clear.

The 1300W Steam Mop, priced at $49, topped the list of recommended buys, praised for its ease of use and minimal water residue. Kmart's $49 20L microwave also earned high marks for cooking performance, particularly for vegetables and defrosting mince.

However, the $75 bench mixer was deemed not worth the money, with experts noting that 'you get what you pay for.' Similarly, the $39 Hand Held Garment Steamer and $55 Garment Steamer performed poorly on certain fabrics, lacking auto shut-off and having small water tanks.

Anko vacuum cleaners were strongly advised against, scoring a maximum of 67% in tests. The $159 Anko Bassinet with Canopy also failed, scoring just 49% due to insufficient breathable zones.

On a positive note, Kmart's $40 Carry-on Hard Case and $99 Premium Hard Case with 8 Wheels performed well alongside more expensive brands. The $29 3L slow cooker and $45 6.5L digital slow cooker were also recommended as budget-friendly options.
