Apple has launched the iPhone 17e, its most affordable phone yet, featuring a significant internal upgrade. The device now includes the A19 processor, identical to the standard iPhone 17, and the new C1X cellular modem for improved speed and efficiency.
The iPhone 17e finally supports MagSafe, enabling 15W Qi2 wireless charging and compatibility with a wide range of magnetic accessories. It retains a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, a 48MP rear camera with optical 2x zoom, and a 12MP front camera. The phone comes in white, black, and soft pink.
Pre-orders opened on Wednesday 4 March at 2.15pm GMT, with general sale from 11 March. The 256GB model costs £599, while the 512GB version is £799. Carriers such as iD Mobile, Vodafone, and O2 are offering contract deals with varying data allowances and incentives.
