Eric Trump Uses AI Deepfake Video to Promote Memoir

Eric Trump, the second son of President Donald Trump, has posted an artificial intelligence-generated video to promote his new memoir, “Under Siege.” The video, seemingly created with Grok AI, shows a crowd of supporters holding up his book in a trance-like manner.

“Under Siege is BACK in stock at Amazon!” Eric Trump wrote on social media. “The demand has been incredible - we are reprinting as fast as we can but inventory is limited so get yours today.” The AI video appears to be set in the Richard Nixon Library’s replica of the East Room of the White House, where he held a book tour event on Monday.

The Richard Nixon Foundation responded, “East Room replica at the Nixon Library. A pleasure having you here!” The video pans upward to show an AI-generated crowd simultaneously raising copies of the memoir with their right hand, while the audio features cheers mixed with a buzzing sound. A link beneath the video reads “Create your own with Grok.”

The Trump family has frequently used AI-generated content online. President Trump recently posted an AI video depicting him dropping faeces on protesters from a plane labelled “King Trump.” While Democrats criticised the post, Republicans defended it, with Speaker Mike Johnson calling Trump “the most effective person” using social media for satire.

“Under Siege” recounts Eric Trump’s earliest memories, his roles in his father’s campaigns, and his leadership of the Trump Organization. The book currently ranks number 16 on USA Today’s bestseller list and number three on Amazon’s best sellers.
