EastEnders stars launch 'sexy' AI avatars on chatbot

Former EastEnders stars Danniella Westbrook and Joshua Pascoe have launched AI-generated avatars of themselves on a new chatbot service, giving fans the chance to interact with their digital twins at any time.

AI avatars launch on OhChat

The pair, known for playing aunt and nephew Sam and Ben Mitchell on the BBC soap, have teamed up with the AI chatbot service OhChat. The avatars allow fans to speak with the actors 24 hours a day.

Westbrook, 52, shared a series of videos on Instagram this week promoting the collaboration. In one clip, an AI-generated island town appears before the camera reveals Westbrook standing on a London taxi. She is later seen walking through East End street markets, spray painting a wall, and walking through tower blocks.

Joshua Pascoe's racy AI twin

Pascoe, 31, shared snaps of his AI-generated self on X, showing the avatar with rock hard abs and a builder's look. In his post, he suggested the avatar could get racy if prompted.

"I made an AI version of myself and honestly, he might be more dangerous than me," he wrote. "I put him on OhChat and things can get a little naughty over there."

Fans divided over the avatars

Fans have been split on the venture, with reactions in the comments section. One user welcomed Westbrook's avatar, writing: "Legend and empress!" Another cautioned Pascoe: "Honestly, the real you is much prettier [fire emoji] than his AI twin. If I had to choose, I would choose the real you a hundred times."

Westbrook has been open about her struggles with addiction and her facial reconstruction after her nasal septum eroded. Pascoe has taken on other acting roles while sharing content online. The AI avatars mark their latest career move.
