Anthropic's artificial intelligence chatbot Claude has suffered a major outage, leaving users unable to get responses from the system.
The company said that users were experiencing an "elevated rate of errors" when using Sonnet 4.6, the model that powers Claude and other parts of Anthropic's offering.
In practice, this meant that the chatbot would become stuck appearing to think, without providing any answer to a user's question.
The problems follow similar issues on Tuesday, which also led to errors being displayed to users. At that time, Anthropic said it had fixed the problem and that the service had returned to normal.
