The last Assassin's Creed Shadows update has arrived, and it brings substantial new content. Update 1.1.11 serves as the game's final patch, introducing fresh additions for the last time.
Release Time and Date
The final update for Assassin's Creed Shadows is available today, Tuesday, June 16, across all platforms. It goes live at 3 PM BST, 10 AM EST, and 7 AM PST. The update size varies by platform: Xbox Series X/S requires 26.1 GB, PlayStation 5 needs 10.01 GB, PC requires 21.69 GB, Steam needs 10 GB, Nintendo Switch 2 requires 9.5 GB, and Mac requires 9 GB. The Nintendo Switch 2 update is smaller partly because the Black Flag Resynced crossover content is not included, as the remake will not be released on that platform.
New Content in Update 1.1.11
Ubisoft has added two new crossover Projects in the Animus HUB: Riptides and Undertow. These offer new themed outfits, weapons, and trinkets. A new free story quest called Black Tides is also included, where two elite Templars hunt protagonists Naoe and Yasuke. To unlock Black Tides, players must complete Naoe and Yasuke's main story and two post-launch quests: A Critical Encounter and A Puzzlement.
For players at Level 30 or above, a new Animus activity called Domains provides end-game content. This event features five new gameplay scenarios across ten challenge levels, testing RPG build crafting skills. Rewards are exclusive to Domains and will never be available in the store. Additionally, a new Animus Rift called Horizon opens once the two previous Rifts are completed.

Quality of Life Improvements
- Changed access to Animus HUB features in the main menu to harmonize with gameplay access. The System menu is now only accessible through the Shadows' Memory page.
Bug Fixes and Gameplay Adjustments
- Increased damage for Shurikens fired from Bank Shot and Triple Threat tool mastery upgrades.
- All abilities that destroy enemy armor are now half as effective against bosses.
- Fixed an issue preventing weak point attacks from making enemies vulnerable a second time.
- Fixed Yasuke's knowledge bonus for damage reduction against melee or ranged attacks.
- Enemies now take fall damage from shorter heights, increasing overall fall damage.
- Reduced damage from enemy Poison Kunai and Explosive Grenades.
- Up to 6 Corrupted Castles are now available each season.
- Fixed Naoe's Katana Sheath being stuck to her.
UI Fixes
- Reordered forge engraving lists and added a Critical Category.
- Fixed incorrect forge category engraving lists for some perks.
- Fixed wrong icons for some perks and knowledge skills.
- Added missing Damage when Hitting Vulnerable Enemies perk to stat sheet.
- Added extra text to Naoe's Peasant Hat Headgear perk clarifying it triggers below 1 adrenaline.
- Fixed Yasuke's knowledge bonus Damage with Combo Enders showing a value 10 times higher than intended.
- Pins and world markers are now saved through travels in Japan and Awaji.
Gears and Perks
- Reworked adrenaline-based perks to a percentage of an adrenaline chunk and rebalanced to lower values: Adrenaline Tools, Adrenaline on Headshot, Adrenaline on Critical Hit, Adrenaline over half health, Adrenaline under half health, Adrenaline on afflicted enemies, Adrenaline on posture attack, Adrenaline on vulnerable enemies.
- Whisper of Gold Long Katana perk now increases ability damage by 100% (up from 50%).
- Fixed Naoe's Kusarigama perk Affliction on Entangled Enemy dealing lower damage than intended.
- Fixed Blade of Yumminess missing from inventory.
- Teppo and Bow weapons can now be engraved with armor damage and armor piercing perks.
- Fixed Arrownomics Bow perk being engraveable on amulets.
- Fixed Golden Chamber Teppo perk being engraveable on amulets.
- Naoe's Ethereal Cloth Headgear perk now triggers when health is below 15% (up from 10%).
- Naoe's Pink Petal Kosode Light Armour and Yasuke's Sakura Bloom Armour now convert adrenaline to 20% health on death (up from 10%).
- Fixed Yasuke's Riddle Scroll Beacon Trinket Perk reverting to default.
- Fixed Consecutive Enemy Kills perk not resetting when combat ended or resetting upon damage.
- Perks with backstab condition can now only be engraved on Tanto weapons.
- Perks with conditions like with ranged weapons, with headshots, while stationary can no longer be engraved on melee weapons.
- Perks with conditions like with melee weapons, with posture, with combo ender, when hitting multiple enemies can no longer be engraved on ranged weapons.
- Fixed some perks not having their effect increased when engraved on enhanced items.
- Fixed Critical Change with Melee Weapons perk being engraveable on armours instead of helmets.
Quest Fixes
- Gather Mon: Fixed Anomaly Quest progression issue.
- Way of the Blacksmith: Fixed Heji and the forge being removed from hideout.
- Lost and Found: Fixed Sentinel B-Ser.0197 teleporting out of bounds.
