Manchester City have confirmed two additional pre-season fixtures, taking on Atletico Madrid and a K-League All Stars side in South Korea this August. The matches form part of the club's Asia tour ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
Fixtures in Seoul
City will face the K-League All Stars on Wednesday, August 5, and La Liga side Atletico Madrid on Sunday, August 9. Both games will be held at the Seoul World Cup Stadium. The club had already announced a match against Inter Milan in Hong Kong on Saturday, August 1, a repeat of the 2023 Champions League final.
Return to Seoul
This will be City's third visit to Seoul. They first played there in 1976, facing South Korea three times, and most recently in 2023, when they lost 2-1 to Atletico Madrid in a match delayed by 40 minutes due to heavy rain. Peter Laundy, Senior Vice President of Partnerships at City Football Group, said: “We are delighted to confirm the final fixtures of Manchester City men’s preseason tour and we’re incredibly excited to be returning to Seoul – this time for two fixtures. We received such an exceptional welcome when we visited in 2023, with a sell-out crowd for our fixture against Atletico Madrid and thousands of fans attending our open training while we were in the city. We’re looking forward to an exciting rematch, connecting with our fans in Korea and spending more time in the country this year.”
Ticket Information
Kick-off times have yet to be announced. Tickets will go on sale via City's website, initially available to official supporter club members and official members. A limited allocation means tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, with eligible fans able to purchase a maximum of two tickets. Further details will be provided in due course, and tickets will go off sale on July 20.
