Billie Jean King and John McEnroe are heading to London for a one-off 'in conversation' event ahead of Wimbledon 2027. The two tennis legends will share the stage at London's O2 Arena on June 27, 2027, when they will reflect on their stellar careers in Billie Jean King and John McEnroe – Champions in Sport, Champions in Life.
The event will see two of the most significant athletes of the 20th century – who share 56 Grand Slam titles between them – share stories from the biggest moments of their lives both on and off the court. This includes what it means to overcome adversity, handle pressure, learn from failure, break barriers and keep moving forward when the odds are stacked against you.
Landmark Year for Tennis
The event will take place a day before Wimbledon gets underway during a landmark year for tennis. It will mark 150 years since the first Wimbledon Championships, 50 years since McEnroe's SW19 debut, and 54 years since King was the last athlete to win the Triple Crown at Wimbledon.
Tickets for Billie Jean King and John McEnroe – Champions in Sport, Champions in Life are on sale now at several retailers including Seat Unique, where fans can book a Meet and Greet package with both tennis icons. For £500 per person, this includes 'best in house' seating at the O2, an exclusive pre-show meet and greet with King and McEnroe, plus a professional photo and signed poster.
Ticket Options and Availability
Seat Unique also offers general admission tickets with 'premium' seating offering a 'great view of the show' for £150 per person. A caveat is that Seat Unique has not specified where seats are located for either package.
Tickets are available at Ticketmaster too, where prices range from £54.80 to £185.90, depending on the quality of seats. Those situated close to the stage tend to command a higher price than those in less premium tiers, with the more expensive seats situated on the arena floor in blocks A to C.
Resale Tickets and Warnings
Sites such as viagogo, Stubhub, and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that ticket conditions often prohibit resale after initial purchase. Those tickets may not be valid for admittance to gigs.
Fans intending to buy tickets for live events through resale websites should check the ticket terms and conditions, to confirm whether resale is prohibited, before they buy. Ticket terms and conditions can be checked with the original seller, such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation. If resale is prohibited, tickets bought second-hand could be voided and admission to the event refused.
A small number of tickets are already listed on resale sites like viagogo, with more likely to be available closer to the event. These tickets are sold by other fans and can provide opportunities to pick up tickets below face value, but they can also fetch higher prices too.
Viagogo prices currently start at £178 for tickets in block 107 of the O2's Level One tier, while Ticketmaster charges £89 for the same area. The same applies to Stubhub, where tickets range from £182 to £230.

Speaking to event company Fane ahead of the event, King said: “Anytime John and I get together, it is a lively and engaging conversation. Tennis has given both John and me a wonderful platform for our lives and it will be fun to share stories that take the audience behind the curtain into the real world of our careers.”
McEnroe added: “I am really looking forward to coming to London for a first time ever show with Billie Jean King. She is not only the most influential person in the history of Women’s Sports, but also my good friend and a living legend.”
