England rounded off their preparations for the 2026 World Cup with a convincing 3-0 win over Costa Rica at Wembley Stadium. Goals from Harry Kane, Phil Foden, and Bukayo Saka ensured a positive result for Gareth Southgate's side ahead of their tournament opener.
First Half Dominance
The Three Lions controlled the match from the outset, with Kane opening the scoring in the 12th minute after a well-worked team move. Foden doubled the lead just before half-time with a curling effort from the edge of the box.
Second Half Control
England continued to dominate after the break, and Saka added a third in the 67th minute with a clinical finish. Costa Rica rarely threatened, as the home side's defense remained solid throughout.
Southgate made several substitutions in the second half to give minutes to fringe players, with all eyes now on the World Cup group stage.
