Six transfers Arsenal, Liverpool and Man Utd can do before Premier League kick-off
Six transfers Arsenal, Liverpool and Man Utd can do this week

With less than one week until the Premier League season begins, clubs are still working to complete deals before the opening weekend. Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United are among the title rivals who could still make signings.

Liverpool target PSG wingers

Liverpool could be the most active of the title rivals before they open their campaign away at Newcastle on Sunday afternoon. They are still looking for a winger to replace Mohamed Salah. Andoni Iraola's side have been linked with a move for PSG winger Bradley Barcola, 23, who is valued at £145m. Barcola was absent on Sunday as PSG lost the Trophee des Champions to Lens, adding to speculation he could leave.

Another player who could leave PSG for Liverpool is Ibrahim Mbaye, 18, who was also left out of the match against Lens. Mbaye has been linked with an exit after dropping in the pecking order, and could be available for around £40m.

Manchester United target defenders

Lewis Hall, 21, has been linked with a move to Manchester United this summer, and talks could accelerate this week after United struggled in defence over the weekend. However, a previous approach was rejected by Newcastle, who are determined not to sell after already letting Anthony Gordon, Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes leave. A recent report prices Hall at around £60m.

United have also been interested in 29-year-old centre-back Kim Min-jae, but convincing the South Korean could be tricky. BILD reporter Christian Falk said: "As I’ve mentioned with Bayern Insider previously, the South Korean international is on the list at United. They’re always looking at his situation at Bayern Munich." Falk added: "That said, Kim Min-jae is very clear at the moment that he wants to stay at Bayern and he’s fine with his current role at the club. He’s not in the starting XI at the moment, but he has a chance to get there if he’s playing well and, of course, if injuries strike."

Arsenal eye Quansah and Osimhen

Reports last week suggested Jarell Quansah could return to England, with Sky Sports claiming Arsenal are in negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen, though the German club are hesitant to sell. It is suggested a deal would require considerably more than the £30m Leverkusen paid Liverpool last summer for the 23-year-old defender, with some reports earmarking £62m.

The Gunners are also plotting a move for Victor Osimhen, despite a firm 'hands off' warning from Galatasaray. According to reports in Turkey, president Dursun Ozbek has informed his inner circle: "I will not say 'yes' to any transaction that will harm Galatasaray or not benefit Galatasaray." However, Turkish publication Sozcu claims Arsenal remain 'determined' to sign the 27-year-old Nigerian.
