Gauff Leads Semi-Final Lineup After Comeback Win

Women's semi-final day at Wimbledon features Coco Gauff as the highest-ranked seed remaining after top players Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka were eliminated earlier in the tournament. Gauff, the second seed, defeated fourth seed Jessica Pegula in an all-American quarter-final, coming from a set down to win 4-6, 6-3, 6-3.

The 22-year-old American will face 10th seed Karolina Muchova, who advanced by beating Naomi Osaka 7-6(4), 6-4 in the fourth round and former champion Barbora Krejcikova before that.

Czech Contingent and Ukrainian Hope

Muchova is one of two Czech players in the semi-finals. Linda Noskova, the ninth seed, joins her after defeating three seeded players: Sorana Cirstea, Madison Keys, and Elise Mertens. Noskova faces Marta Kostyuk, the 12th seed from Ukraine, who beat former finalist Jasmine Paolini 6-3, 6-2 in the quarter-finals, following wins over Alyson Krueger and Emma Navarro.
