The world No. 114 takes on the second seed at Wimbledon having conquered Flavio Cobolli, the ninth seed, in spectacular style in the quarter-finals, romping to a second straight-sets victory over the Italian this year. Fery also dumped Cobolli out in the first round at the Australian Open earlier this season. Zverev, the newly-crowned French Open champion, swept past sixth seed Taylor Fritz in his last-eight encounter, with the American struggling with a knee problem on Court No. 1.
Historic Opportunity for Britain
Fery is hoping to become the first Briton to reach a Wimbledon final since Sir Andy Murray’s second triumph back in 2016, when the Scot defeated Milos Raonic to follow up his maiden title from 2013. Fery is just the fifth British man to reach the Wimbledon semi-finals in the Open era. On the other half of the draw, world No. 1 Jannik Sinner faces seven-time winner Novak Djokovic, who is hunting a record-extending 25th career Grand Slam.
