Premier League 2026/27 opening fixtures: Full schedule and TV guide

Every Premier League team is in action across August 21-24 as the 2026/27 season gets underway. Arsenal begin their title defence against Frank Lampard's Championship winners Coventry City on Friday, August 21, at 8pm on Sky Sports Premier League.

Newly-promoted Hull City face Manchester United, while Manchester City, now without Pep Guardiola, host Bournemouth. Nine managers make their league debut with new clubs, including Matthias Jaissle and Andoni Iraola for Newcastle United and Liverpool respectively. Enzo Maresca's Manchester City side will look to rebound from their 3-0 Community Shield defeat to Arsenal. A West London derby sees Xabi Alonso's Chelsea travel to Fulham on Monday.

How to watch the Premier League on TV

Sky Sports remains the primary UK broadcaster, showing at least 215 live Premier League games this season, alongside around 1,500 fixtures from the Premier League, EFL, and Carabao Cup across its TV and digital channels. Fans need a Sky TV and sport package, starting at £35 per month for the Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle, which includes full coverage of the Premier League, EFL, F1, darts, and golf. This new customer deal offers a £384 discount compared to the standard £51 price.

The bundle includes around 100 regular channels and free subscriptions to Netflix Standard with Ads and discovery+. The Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle at £44 per month adds free Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu subscriptions. New this season is Your Multiview, launching on August 21, allowing fans to watch up to four live Sky Sports events side by side. The Sports Hub brings scores, stats, and tables to the side of the screen during live matches.

Existing Sky customers can add Sky Sports channels from £22 per month on a new 24-month term. Sky Sports channels are also included with select Virgin Media packages, several reduced in the brand's 'Summer of Sport' sale. The flagship Sport bundle is at its 'lowest ever price' of £52.99 (was £56.99), with nine Sky Sports channels, more than 200 standard channels, and free Netflix access. Both Sky and Virgin customers face a price increase around March and April each year.
