Dozens of international sports stars arrived at Liverpool Town Hall today for a unique civic reception. The Fijian rugby team, known as the Flying Fijians, visited the venue on Thursday, July 7, ahead of their weekend fixture against England in the Nations Championship.
Historic Match at Everton's Home Ground
This Saturday, Fiji will take on England in the Nations Championship, an international rugby union tournament, at Everton's Hill Dickinson Stadium. The match will see Mick Byrne's Flying Fijians face Steve Borthwick's side in what promises to be a spectacular occasion at the Blues' waterfront home. The fixture forms part of Fiji's inaugural Nations Championship campaign, with the Pacific nation choosing to stage its designated home fixtures in the Northern Hemisphere.
Kick-off for the historic fixture is scheduled for 2.10pm (BST), with the match to be broadcast live on ITV1 in the UK.
