Chris Robshaw has been eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing, with the former England rugby captain's journey ending on Sunday night. The Harlequins icon, who had no dance experience, performed a salsa to Ricky Martin's 'Maria' with professional partner Nadiya Bychkova. Despite receiving scores of seven from the judges, he landed in the bottom two alongside EastEnders star Balvinder Sopal. Head judge Shirley Ballas and Anton du Beke voted to save Robshaw, but Motsi Mabuse chose Sopal, and Craig Revel Horwood's deciding vote also went to the actress, sealing Robshaw's fate.
Robshaw's wife, classical singer Camilla Kerslake, has been his most devoted supporter throughout the series. She previously admitted her fierce loyalty nearly got her into trouble after a harsh score from Revel Horwood, saying she wanted to 'climb over the desk and give Craig what for'. Following Robshaw's departure, Kerslake shared a gushing tribute on Instagram, praising her husband and taking one last dig at Revel Horwood.
'We are so proud of you,' she wrote. 'You will always be our champion. The show has given us some amazing family memories to cherish forever. It's been a year from hell, but like always, you continue to put your family first. To see you thriving and living your best life in sequins has been brilliant. We know how hard you trained and how much you loved this experience. You are good enough, and we love you. Forever our winner. P.S. Craig - BOO to you.'
Robshaw also thanked his supporters on social media, paying tribute to his wife and dance partner Nadiya Bychkova. He said: 'When we first started the show I had no confidence on the dance floor, sleepless nights before shows and massive doubts in my ability. You made the whole experience fun, challenging and rewarding. We opened the 2025 series with a Samba and a set of 3s, to last night risking it all with daring lifts, a pair of 7s and loving the salsa.'
