Eli Junior Kroupi wants to join Tottenham Hotspur over Paris Saint-Germain, according to TEAMtalk. The Bournemouth striker prefers a move to Spurs because he prioritises regular first-team football over a squad role behind PSG's established stars.
PSG shift focus to Ferran Torres
As a result of Kroupi's preference, PSG have turned their attention to Barcelona forward Ferran Torres. Reports indicate personal terms have been agreed and club negotiations are progressing.
Tottenham in stronger position
Tottenham now believe they are in a stronger position to land Kroupi, who is viewed as a priority target by manager Roberto De Zerbi. The club is reshaping its attacking options this summer after spending more than £230 million, with six new arrivals and their transfer record broken twice.
£100 million signing Sandro Tonali became the headline arrival of De Zerbi's summer squad overhaul, following the acquisitions of £85 million Mateus Fernandes, £52 million Jan Paul van Hecke, and free transfers Martin Dubravka, Marcos Senesi, and Andy Robertson.
Further targets
Spurs will look to strengthen further, with a striker and left-side attacker next on the shopping list. Standard Sport understands that Manchester City's Savinho remains a target after last summer's failed pursuit, with both Kroupi and AC Milan's Rafael Leao also heavily linked. Liverpool's Cody Gakpo is reportedly of interest to De Zerbi, but Standard Sport understands interest in James Trafford will not be pursued following Antonin Kinsky's new contract.
