Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury are set to come face-to-face today, putting to rest concerns that their scheduled December 11 bout might be canceled.
Unless there are any last-minute surprises, the rival British heavyweights will meet at a London press conference to launch the promotional buildup for their massive clash at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.
Row over fight resolved
The fight appeared to be in doubt over the weekend following claims by Fury and Zuffa Boxing head Dana White that an ongoing feud between White and long-time Joshua promoter Eddie Hearn (Matchroom Sport) was threatening the event. Hearn questioned White’s role after the UFC CEO was listed as a co-promoter alongside Turki Alalshikh’s The Ring.
However, Hearn seems to have prevailed: White is not expected to attend today’s media event, and he also missed out on his bid to hold the fight at Madison Square Garden in New York.

The press conference is due to start at 6pm tonight but as with many boxing events, it could well be delayed. Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury will be completing their media obligations before returning to their training camps in Dubai and Miami respectively, and so the start time could change.
