The former Wales rugby international Rob McCusker stepped in to separate the two sets of coaching staff after Sunday's Black Country Derby between Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Bromwich Albion.
Derby win ends 15-year wait
Fer Lopez scored the only goal of the game to earn the hosts a first derby win over the Baggies in 15 years. Despite Wolves missing influential forward Raul Jimenez, the margin of victory could well have been greater, with Wanderers largely dominating from start to finish.
It was only the brilliance of goalkeeper Max O'Leary that kept the scoreline down, with an error from Nat Phillips ultimately proving decisive. Phillips under-hit a backpass under pressure and allowed Lopez to nip in and score his fourth Championship goal of the season.
Coaches square up at full-time
Wolves boss Cesar Peixoto was predictably in jubilant mood at full-time, and his celebrations clearly irked opposite number James Morrison, who was seen pointing to something he was unhappy with. Baggies first-team coach Tony McMahon was also seemingly furious, with Peixoto apparently pleading for calm as the two sets of coaching teams squared up to one another.
At that point, another figure stepped in to separate the two factions, and he may well have looked familiar to eagle-eyed viewers in Wales. In the eye of the storm was the 40-year-old McCusker, who is currently working in security following his retirement from rugby in 2019, and could be seen putting his arm between the pair as angry words were exchanged.
Rugby career
McCusker made more than 130 appearances for the Scarlets, before later joining London Irish in 2015 and then the Ospreys a year later. He also earned six caps for Wales during his career.
